RFN VPN App Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers only the RFN VPN mobile application (the “App”), operated by RFN LLC.

The App is only a client. To use it, you add a key or configuration link from RFN or another compatible VPN or proxy provider. The provider selected by that key or configuration runs the server that carries your connection.

RFN may separately issue proxy configurations. That service and its servers are separate from the App, just as a third-party provider’s service and servers are separate from the App. This policy does not describe the RFN website, payment services, or a provider’s server-side practices.

2. Data sent when you connect

When you connect, the App collects the IP address and HWID needed for the request and sends them to the provider selected by that key or configuration. The connection request contains:

• the key or configuration identifier;
• the IP address used for the connection; and
• an HWID or device identifier.

The provider uses this information to authenticate the key, apply its device-access rules, and establish the connection you requested. If the key or configuration is issued by RFN, the App sends the request to the separate RFN configuration service. If it comes from another provider, the App sends the request to that provider.

3. Traffic and logs

The App processes traffic on your device and passes it to the provider you selected. The App does not create a browsing history or keep visited website URLs, DNS query contents, VPN tunnel connection or activity logs, or network traffic contents.

The App does not send a separate copy of your traffic to RFN LLC for analytics, advertising, marketing, profiling, or tracking.

The selected provider receives the connection data and the traffic routed through its server. It handles that data under its own privacy policy. RFN LLC does not control a third-party provider’s logging, security, or retention practices, so review that provider’s policy before adding its key.

4. How RFN LLC uses data

RFN LLC does not sell or rent App data and does not use it for advertising, marketing, profiling, cross-app tracking, or unrelated purposes. The App sends the key, IP address, and HWID to the selected provider only to make the connection you requested.

RFN LLC receives your email address, message, and any attachments only if you choose to email support.

5. Companies that help us operate the App

RFN LLC may use infrastructure hosting for App and RFN-issued key functions, and an email provider for support. They may handle only the data needed for those jobs, must follow RFN LLC’s instructions, and must provide protection no weaker than this Policy. They may not use the data for their own advertising, marketing, or profiling.

A VPN or proxy provider selected by you is not acting as RFN LLC’s processor. It receives data because you chose its key or configuration and is governed by its own privacy policy.

6. No in-app payments

No in-app payments are offered or processed by the App. The App does not collect payment card, bank account, or payment transaction details.

7. Data retention

• The App does not maintain a browsing or VPN tunnel history.
• RFN LLC keeps App data it actually receives only while needed for RFN-issued key functions, security, support, dispute handling, or a legal obligation. It is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed for those purposes.
• Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to answer the request, keep an appropriate support record, protect the service, or meet a legal obligation.
• The selected provider controls whether and how long it retains the data it receives. Its privacy policy applies.

8. Deletion requests and choices

To request deletion of App data or support correspondence held by RFN LLC, email support@rfnconnect.com. Include enough information to identify the relevant key or support request; RFN LLC may ask for reasonable verification before acting on the request.

RFN LLC will delete or de-identify data covered by a valid request unless it must keep some of it for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or a legal obligation.

For data held by the selected provider, contact that provider directly.

9. Security

RFN LLC limits access to the App data it holds and uses it only for the purposes described here. A key may grant access to a provider, so keep it private.

10. Children

The App is not directed specifically to children. RFN LLC does not knowingly use a child’s App data for advertising, marketing, or profiling. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information in a support request may contact RFN LLC to request deletion.

11. Changes to this Policy

RFN LLC may update this Policy when the App or applicable requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
